After the Virupaksha temple you can walk down to the river, it's a breathtaking sight amongst the startling rock formations of this area. You can then take a coracle, a boat in the form of a basket, and go for a lovely hour's ride punctuated by stops to see interesting rock scupting. A must-do part of the trip.
