One of the most famous pilgrimages 'Madurai' Also called Temple City of India. The Meenakshi complex is a closed area with towers 🛕, a pond and other facilities. There are 14 towers🛕 (gopurams) of different heights and number of stores. All the gopurams of the Meenakshi temple are entirely covered with thousands of small sculptures🦋 & Pillars. Colored sculptures depict Shiva and Parvati, other deities, demons, men 👨🏻and women👩🦰, animals🦁🐒, priests, etc.
