The Vivekananda Rock Memorial is situated near to the Kanyakumari beach in between sea and way to reach VRM is only boat. There is a boat pool near beach from where you can get the boat or Ferry.
The timing for the boat morning 8 AM to 4 PM. The rate of ticket is only Rs 20/- per head for both ways. But the solution to beat this lengthy line to go directly to the ticket counter and take special ticket which is Rs 169/- per head for both ways.
After getting special ticket you can embark the soon next boat which will leave boat jetty. One more thing is the special ticket is special only for the way from boat jetty to VRM and you will treat as normal ticket holder while returning and no special ticket counter in VRM.
The VRM is the place in between sea about 500 meter away from beach where Swami Vivekanand was done meditation for 2 days. It is a very calm place and you can get a very nice view of sea from it. If you visit Kanyakuamri, in my view, must see Vivekananda Rock Memorial.
