Krishnagiri dam is located in between Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri 10 kms away from Krishnagiri and river thenpennai is supplying water sources to the dam, this dam is constructed in 1955 – 1957 by former chief minister of Tamilnadu thiru. Kamaraj benefited thousands of acres of land around Krishnagiri irrigated with the help of this dam.

Krishnagiri Fort is one of the strongest forts in the Krishnagiri district and is now one of the monuments protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. The fort was built by King Krishnadevarayar of the Vijayanagar Empire.
