This temple is outside Chikkaballapura town nestled in green foothills - The Diety of Ranganatha ( a Saligram shille) as well as the artistic pillars of the temple are so intricately done and preserved - that it is difficult to believe that they are hundreds of years old. The yellowish white Stone carved pillars beam majestically in the sunshine and the details of carving are a treat to study - another living tribute to the artisans of the Chalukya and Viajyanagara times.
Lots of monkeys and few poor people sitting at the temple entrance. Also plan to go during day time. Don't attempt to go during night or late evening. Very peaceful, green, serene and quiet place.
