Harangi Reservoir

The Hudgur village near Kushalnagar, Harangi dam makes for an interesting visit. The dam has been built across River Cauvery. This is the first dam built across Cauvery River. The dam is located about 9 km away from the heart of Kushalnagar town.

The entry fee is Rs. 10 for adults and Rs. 5 for children above 5 years old. There is a parking fee of Rs. 10 as wel but they asked us Rs.100 for TT, so we didn't visit inside park.

Open time: 8 AM to 6 PM.

Harangi dam from Coorg is just 33 km and one can opt for a bus or a private cab from top car rental companies in Coorg to reach the dam. The route is via NH 275 and many state run and private buses operate to the dam.
