Sri Pralayakalada Veerabhadraswami Gudi is located in kempagowda Nager, Gavipuram, Bengaluru. This temple is dedicated to Lord "Sri Veerabhadra" one among the Ganas of Lord Shiva. History about Veerabhadraswami :
Once the sages and devas participated in a yaga performed by Dakshan but Lord Shiva was not invited. So Dakshayani went to see Dakshan to hear about it. But because of Daksha's humiliation, the sacrifice fell into the fire. Knowing this, Shiva performed Rudratandavam. Veerabhadra appeared from his sweat drop. Legend has it that Veerabhadra Dakshan beheaded him and implanted the head of a goat.

Once upon a time Chola King was passing at this location and he found a shining object in a bush when it was closely monitored, came to know that it was the Idol of Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Since it had 32 arms with many weapons and fierce some form, named as Pralayakalada Veerabhadra Swamy. Afterthat Kind built this temple. Pralaya means Doom, Pralayakalada means Doomsday, which means this form of Lord Veerabhadra Swamy is associated with Doomsday.
