Kurinji Andavar Temple is situated in Kurinji Andavar Temple Road, 4Km from Kodaikanal bus stand, Kodaikanal. This 1936 Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Murugan is set in scenic surrounds with Kurinji flowers which blossoms in the area only once every 12 years. That is why the deity here is called Sri Kurinji Andavar.

A European lady Leelavathi came to Kodaikanal, got faith in the Hindu religion and raised the temple. Leelavathi also married a Tamilian Ramanathan. Later on, the lady called Miss Ramanathan. Furthermore, Leelavathi’s granddaughter, Devi Prasad Baskaran and her husband Baskaran donated this temple to the Palani Andavar Temple.

Parking Facility is there. Temple outside many chocolates shops and gift shops are there.

Temple Timings: Morning 6:30 AM– Evening 7:30PM
