Kodaikanal Lake, also known as Kodai Lake, is a manmade lake located in the Kodaikanal city. This lake is star-shaped artificial lake, with a depth of 3 meters, was built in 1863 under the stewardship of the Collector of Madurai, Sir Vere Henry Levinge.
This lake is known as the heart of Kodaikanal. It is spread across an area of 60 acres. The lake is surrounded by lush and refreshing greenery and a tarred road of 5 km in length.
We can do Cycling here. Around this lake we can do Boating and Horse ride. Charges vary based on timing and distance.
Boating: Rs.100 to Rs.1000
Cycling: Rs.20 for 30 Mins. Rs.40 for Two joined cycle
Horse Ride:Rs.100 to Rs.500 (Rs.100 for 2Km)
