Tipu Sultan Summer Residence | Nandhi Hills Fort | Tipu's Drop | Tashk-e-Jannat | Chikkaballapur
Tipu's Summer Palace and Fort covers an area of about 90 acres and is situated at a height of 4,851 ft above sea level. Tipu's Summer Palace was constructed by Tipu Sultan. The Fort has a striking resemblance to Dariya Daulat, Srirangapatna. It was also named by him as the Tashk-e-Jannat, meaning the envy of heaven.
The construction of Nandhi Hills Fort was started by Chikballapur chieftains and was completed in 1791 by Tipu Sultan. Tipu's Drop is a part of Nandhi hill fort which was used by Tipu Sultan to kill prisoners.
