Varathamanathi Dam | Kodaikanal & Palani Hill view | Varathama River
Varathamanathi Dam is situated near Palani about 7- 8 kms from Palani. There also buses available from kodaikanal. This dam is small and huge depth. No crowd. Children's park is damaged. Its not maintained. We can see Amazing view of Excess water flow. Better to come visit in rainy season.
Varathama River is coming from Vadakavunchi, hill village in kodaikanal. In 1978, this dam is built across to Varathama River. The Dam Excess water flows northwards under the name of Varatharu and merges with the Shanmukha river.
