Murudeshwar Temple
Murdeshwar is situated in the Kanduka Hill on the coast of the Arabian Sea, Uttara Kannada, Karnataka. It is dedicated to Sri Mridesa Linga(Atma Linga) also called Murdeshwar, and a 20-storied 209-feet Raja Gopura is constructed at the temple in 2008. This temple is famous for the world's second tallest 123-feet Shiva statue. A Shaneswar temple has been built next to the idol of Sri Akshayaguna.
The origin of the name "Murdeshwar" dates to the time of Ramayana.
