Srilakshmi VenkataRamana Swamy Temple | Krishnagiri
Sri Lakshmi Venkataramana Swamy Temple is a beautiful Hill Top Temple for Lord Venkatesa. This temple is located very near to another Famous Hill Top Temple, Sri Chandra Choodeswarar Temple, Hosur.
Apart from the famous Venkataramana Swamy Temple on the hill, this hill has significance of Jainism. While climbing the steps, on the mid way, a Jain Tirthankara image is seen carved on the rock right side. This has been protected with grill by the TVS group who takes care of the temple. Hats off to the management for responsibility shown to protect the heritage of our country irrespective of religion.
Also another rock on top of the hill also have miniature Jain Tirthankara and animal figures which may be a deer or a bull. Every Tirthankara in Jainism has symbol like this. The cave, the Perumal temple, the rocks, the well etc. speaks the history that all lived together in harmony.
It is just located 1.5 km from main bus stand. You can park your vehicle down the hill. It's recommended time to darshan is early morning before 10 AM.
