Bangaru Tirupati Temple, kolar , Karnataka
The temple is situated on top of a small hillock in Guttahalli, Kolar, Karnataka. Temple has 2 entrance Gopura, a Temple tank Padmavathi temple is situated on top of an adjacent hillock. One can climb the steps within 10 minutes. You have to see the main God from a window. Small parks and gardens are there near the temple.
The Temple is situated off Mulbagal - Bangarpet highway in a small village of Guttahalli. One can drive down to the base of the hillock atop which sits the beautiful idol of Lord Venkateshwara. As you enter first there is a beautiful Pushkarni . After washing your feet there you can climb the hillock which has about 120 steps leading to a platform of rock on which the temple is built. As you climb up a beautiful Garuda carved out of stone benevolently overlooks your efforts.
The Lord has to be seen through a small window only and is perhaps around 20/24 inches in height. It is beautiful not withstanding the size of it. It is certainly not an architectural marvel but some how the positive vibes in there makes up for all other short comings. As the steps to climb up are narrow the exit is from a different side making it safe for elders too.
The Goddess Padmavathi sits on the opposite hill with the steps to climb up being broader and well cut. The Goddess is small just like her consort and equally beautiful. The exit here also is from a different side. You will find rush only during Shravna months, especially on Saturdays. Otherwise you can have peaceful Darshan and seek the blessings of the Cute God’s therein
