Someshwara Temple, kolar , Karnataka
The Someshwara temple is situated in Kolar, Karnataka. This temple built by Tamil kings Rajendra chola. In 14th century Vijayanagara empire kings made Dravidian style construction. The temple is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. This temple has very old look and beautiful stone carvation inside it.
Temple has Stone kalyana Mantapa, Vasantha mantapa and etc. The temple has main deity someshwara(shiva linga), Goddess Parvati resides in separate mantapa sanctum, Lord Veerapathrar, Nava Graham, Nandhi and more. Temple is very clean, Small parking area & Drinking water facility also available.
