Kothandarama Temple, Tirupathi , Andhra Pradesh
The Kothandarama Temple is located near Chandragiri Fort in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. This ancient temple, dating back to the 10th century, was initially built by the Chola kings and later expanded by various rulers, notably Sri Krishna Deva Raya in the 15th century. The rock walls of the outer mandapas bear symbols and raja mudrikas of the Vijayanagara dynasty. The Garbhagriha of this temple houses idols of Lord Rama, Sita, Rama's brothers (Lakshmana, Bharata, Satrughna), Garuda, and Hanuman. These unique deities are not commonly found in other temples. The temple is currently maintained by Tirupati TTD
From here, we can see the Upper Fort of Chandragiri situated on Chandragiri Hill.
